The “Residenziario”
“Il Residenziario” is the newspaper which is produced for students of Residence Luciani’s university residences. This has the form of a short, simple daily paper, and was created to allow anyone who wishes to, to make known their opinions and ideas on life in the residences or on any other subject.
“Il Residenziario” is written by students – and others, and is about students, particularly about those students who live in the Torre Maura Residence in Rome and the IULM Residence in Milan (the participation of the Turin residences of “Paolo Borsellino” and “Villa Claretta” is also expected in the near future).
It is important to underline that the newspaper is entirely independent of political parties and other political interests, and is completely without religious or racial bias. The only principle is that of respect for different ways of thinking; it aims to promote this, not to suffocate it.
The paper has eight pages, six of which contain articles from local editors, i.e. that originate from the students of each residence. Two whole pages are dedicated to each residence. The coordinators for the editing are the managers responsible for each residence, whom we greatly thank for their attention and dedication in helping the students in this editorial “adventure”.
As in every other kind of media, the contents are reviewed by a central body: the central editor in Rome in order to avoid including unpublishable articles, for this reason whoever participates in the local editing must be aware of the rules that govern how an article should be written. Otherwise all the rest is in the hands, or rather in the ideas of the editing residents.
The central editors hope that the number of contributors will keep on increasing. Naturally, as for any other paper, there must always be a serious professional approach.
Whoever would like to be part of the editorial staff or would like to contribute an article for publishing should contact their Residence coordinator/manager or send their article to info@residenceluciani.it
We hope, although certainly do not assume, that “Il Residenziario” can make a contribution, albeit small, to leave behind once and for all the concept of the university residence as a simple dormitory.
We hope that this initiative may help give the university residence the role in university life that it certainly deserves: a place for growing, including professionally, integrated into the university world.
