The student is for us the starting and arrival point in the management of university residences: our services aim at satisfying his needs.

Management of university residences, in Italy, is often undertaken by so–called Companies of “Global Service” who are capable of providing both overall and daily administration: front desk, cleanings, maintenance, meals. Such a model is certainly the most convenient solution to adopt, since it entrusts all the organization and development of the various services to one body.
However there is often the risk that such a model may only partially satisfy the effective needs of guest students, because it offers a readymade package of services that is used for the management of many different types of institutions, (such as rest homes, etc.). There are very few companies that use a management model that is complete and functional; that is, one which offers a range of services for students that assure a better quality of life together with a better integration with the University: a management model which is specifically created for university students.

Even if Residence Luciani is part of the sector of Global Service companies, it is investing much in developing its activities and offering services which aim at providing both a higher level of satisfaction to the student-resident, and a concomitant integration with the university world.

Residence life plays a central role for our Company. Our attention is focused on the daily life style of our guests.
Therefore, the management of the residence does not only concentrate on the provision of basic services like, for example, cleaning, maintenance or front desk, but gives the same attention to subsidiary services which allow students to live in greater comfort. In this way the student will stay in the university residence without having his life turned into a mere “survival far from home”; on the contrary, he will have a pleasant stay which will facilitate both his studies and his social and cultural life.

It is therefore important to provide activities that students can take part in or that they can suggest; places organized for social life, for studying, reading, Internet points, inside activities and so on.
Our Company is targeting another important goal and that is an increased integration of residence life within the academic environment.
We are convinced that having Academic Authority looking after university residences will create a greater incentive to increase the level of services provided and this will be reflected in a better quality of student life.
We are trying to achieve that by using University lecturers as the figures who are didactically responsible for our students. This will allow a greater level of integration also on a didactical base between the University and Residence, forming a “Unicum” between the two.
